A care grade can facilitate access to care services, care aids and assistive devices. We help you to assess the need and find the appropriate next step.
Care grades briefly explained
Many relatives don't know at first what kind of support is truly suitable. A care level does not automatically mean a specific aid. What matters is the specific situation at home: What is difficult, where does care effort arise, and what help eases everyday life?
The care level describes the extent to which independence in daily life is limited. It's not just about physical help, but about which areas of life require support.
There are five care levels. The scale helps classify the need for support – the specific care is still considered individually.
Care level 1Slight impairment of independence
Care level 2Significant impairment
Care Level 3Severe Impairment
Care grade 4Severest impairment
Care Level 5Profound impairment with special requirements
