Drive Medical Aston Shower and Commode Chair

Flexible support for showering and toileting

The Drive Medical Aston is a versatile shower and commode wheelchair for users with limited mobility. Its powder-coated aluminum frame is designed for use in the bathroom and can support up to 160 kg.

The standard soft seat with a front-opening hygiene cutout facilitates personal care and toileting. A matching cover and a removable commode bucket are already included as standard equipment. Thanks to a clearance height of 51 cm, the Aston can also be pushed over suitable toilet bowls.

Flip-up armrests make lateral transfers easier. The footrests can be swiveled and completely removed; in addition, the footplates can be flipped up and adjusted in angle. The seat height can be adjusted between 51 and 56 cm to meet different requirements.

Two versions are available for different mobility needs: The Aston with 5" wheels is particularly compact and suitable for being pushed by an attendant. The Aston with 24" drive wheels and handrims also allows a capable user to propel themselves independently.

A seat width of 46 cm, a load capacity of up to 160 kg, and combined use for showering and toileting make the Aston a flexible solution for daily personal care and toilet use.

Before getting in or out of the chair, or performing a lateral transfer, the wheelchair must be securely locked. The footrests must not be used as a step to stand up. For the 24" version, independent propulsion requires sufficient physical ability from the user. The maximum load capacity of 160 kg must not be exceeded.
