Etac Immedia Positioning Wedge

Stable support for comfortable side-lying positioning and care

The Etac Immedia Positioning Wedge is a dimensionally stable positioning and support wedge for the safe support of people with limited mobility. It helps to maintain a desired body position after turning and is particularly suitable for side-lying, rest periods, and nursing activities such as intimate hygiene and wound care.

Due to its trapezoidal design, the positioning wedge offers contact surfaces with different angles. This allows it to be flexibly adapted to various positioning situations and used to provide targeted body support. As a result, caregivers do not need to manually hold the desired side position for long periods.

The core consists of polyurethane foam and provides stable support. The removable cover is made of PU-coated nylon and has a non-slip surface. This helps keep the wedge securely in place, even on smooth surfaces, and reduces accidental slipping during positioning.

The Positioning Wedge can be used either independently or in conjunction with various sliding and positioning systems. Among others, it is suitable for combination with Immedia 4WayGlide, SatinSheet, and MultiGlide. This makes it easy to integrate into existing care and repositioning concepts.

Two sizes are available. The compact Small version (30 × 53 × 20 cm) is suitable for more targeted support and smaller positioning areas. The Large variant (30 × 80 × 20 cm) offers a longer support surface and is particularly suitable for more extensive stabilization of the body in a side-lying position. Both versions are intended for a user weight of up to 200 kg.

The cover can be removed for hygienic cleaning. Machine washing up to 80 °C and tumble drying at a low temperature of up to a maximum of 60 °C are possible. Additionally, the surface can be wiped down with a solvent-free cleaning agent with a pH value between 5 and 9 or a 70 percent disinfectant solution. Bleaching, ironing, and dry cleaning are not permitted.
